About New China Flavor
δΊ2025 εΉ΄1ζ1ζ₯η±ζ°θζΏζ₯ζ
Located at 2033 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48912, New China Flavor operates as a dim sum serving Lansing in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as delivery restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Lansing; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 4 pmβ2 am. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach New China Flavor at (517) 721-1083; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, chinaflavorlansingmi.com.
Its Google rating stands at 3.4 out of 5 from 349 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Lansing is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The food was amazing and well priced for how much youβre getting. The lady who helped us was very nice and welcoming and the food came out really fast. The atmosphere was very calming. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to expand their cuisine.

Iβm a Chinese student in the US and honestly itβs not that easy to find a place that I really like, but New China Flavor is definitely one of my go-to spots. The chef is really good. The food just tastes great every timeβflavor is on point, portions are good, and everything feels fresh. Service is also super nice. The lady there is very friendly and she is always helpful if you have questions. Highly recommend 10/10

I've been curious about trying this place again since the new owners took over. I decided to order in tonight and I was SUPER excited to see that they have *proper* Almond Boneless Chicken on the menu (the crispy breaded chicken cutlet on a bed of shredded lettuce with the brown gravy sauce on the side)! My coworker and I were just lamenting a few days ago about how we couldn't find it around here. It was soooo delicious and high quality! It was my go-to order as a child, and it was such a comfort and delight to experience it again. I will definitely be ordering from here again and recommending it to my coworker!

Iβve been coming to China Flavor for the last 9 years. Since the new ownership, everything has only been improved. Itβs hard to take over a place that has been on the decline with service and food when the passion is lost, but you can clearly tell that the new owners are genuine and love their craft. My favorite dish is the deep fried spicy chicken house combo (extra spicy) with fried dumplings and a Coke. Anything on the menu is great, so give it a try :)

NEW OWNERSHIP at New China Flavor on Michigan Avenue on Lansing's Eastside! When I saw a new dim sum menu up on the window, I was so excited I went in and talked to Annie and soon learned that the owners used to run Golden Wok in East Lansing, the one restaurant I've really missed since I returned to the area three years ago. Annie is so welcoming, and the food is EVERYTHING I'd hoped it would be. Eating here felt like returning to a place I used to love. Great place to eat on Lansing's Eastside! *** UPDATE: My family has now eaten there a few times and I still hold the same opinion as that first night. What's more, if you want something made just a little differently than on the menu, they will accommodate!
